Over the past 40 plus years I have experimented in many mediums, always unconventional and spontaneous. Some of my first jobs were in art and framing stores back in the early 70’s. There were many years when all art materials got boxed away while travelling the world or when raising 4 kids and running home day care programs for preschools with a large focus on art. Art has always been in my life. Being raised by an artist I was encouraged to use all objects, magazines, in ways that my friends never did. Seeing a parent making furniture out of empty boxes permeated my brain that something can come from nothing. A lesson and symbolic image for me that shows up as a dot that turns into another dot.

 

 In 2015, a creative burst came together with a desire to live my passion and express myself through painting. This lifestyle provides balance and a form of meditation. I have shared pieces in community cafes, office spaces, stores, galleries and charities. My current works in dots are evolving, with series that reflect or symbolize thoughts or actual events in my life story. The journey is new and there are so many stories to tell. The question is, how will they appear?
